What I do

I am licensed by the State of South Carolina as a Residential Building Inspector. Sc license #rbi-2020

My license states that I represent my client solely and exclusively. Therefore, in order to fully represent my client regarding what may be the single greatest investment he or she may make in their lifetime, I am including some links to South Carolinas Codes and laws regulating Home Inspectors.

WHEN YOU HIRE A Home Inspector there should be a clear and concise understanding of his functions and responsibilities toward you, the client.

Home Inspectors must act within the Standards of Practice set forth by the Governmental entity empowered to protect the consumer.

  My Report provides you with a Professional evaluation of the whole house, exceeding the minimum standards set forth by law.

Biographical Information

STARTING ON OR ABOUT 1966, I ASSISTED MY FATHER AND UNCLES IN THE FAMILY BUSINESS, WHICH CONSISTED OF SUB-CONTRACTING CONSTRUCTION WORK IN THEIR SPECIALIZED FIELDS. IE: MASONRY, CARPENTRY, ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING, DRYWALL AND ROOFING.

 

HAVING COMPLETED COURSES IN MECHANICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL DRAFTING, I THEN PURSUED A COURSE OF STUDY IN ARCHITECTURE. THE CLASSROOM DID NOT HOLD MY INTEREST AND I STRUCK OUT ON MY OWN, CONTRACTING WORK IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY.

 

SINCE 1982, I HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN BUYING DISTRESSED PROPERTIES AND REHABILITATING THEM FOR RE-SALE.

 

IN 2002 I MOVED MY FAMILY FROM THE ARCTIC CLIMES OF NORTH EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA TO THE BALMY, FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE OF SOUTH CAROLINA. HERE IS WHERE I DECIDED TO COMPACT MY LIFE EXPERIENCE INTO ONE BUNDLE, AND UNDERTOOK A COURSE OF STUDY AT HORRY GEORGETOWN TECH, WHICH ALLOWED ME TO BE LICENSED AS A HOME INSPECTOR.
